How to play whack a mole
Moles pop up from the holes for a short moment. Tap or click a mole before it hides to score 10 points. Each level lasts 30 seconds and has a target score shown at the top; reach the target before time runs out to go to the next level. If you miss the target, the game ends and your total score is compared with your best.
Watch out for the bunnies: they are friends, not moles. Tapping a bunny costs 20 points and breaks your combo. Golden moles appear now and then and are worth extra points.
Combos
Hit several moles in a row without missing and your combo grows. From 5 hits in a row each hit is worth double, and from 10 in a row triple. Letting a mole escape or tapping a bunny resets the combo, so accuracy matters as much as speed.
Controls
On a phone or tablet, simply tap the holes. The holes are big enough to hit with a thumb, even on small screens. On a computer, click with the mouse, or use the number keys 1 to 9, which match the 3 by 3 grid like a phone keypad.
Levels
Each level makes the moles appear faster and stay up for less time, and more of them appear at once. The target score rises too. The game is easy to start, which makes it good for children, but later levels test reaction time for adults as well.
Tips
Keep your eyes on the centre of the grid so you can see all nine holes. Do not tap randomly. Let bunnies go and save your taps for moles and golden moles.
